Once upon a time, in a land far,
far away on the planet of New Orleans, was a place that was neither
here nor There. There, a Jamaican sunflower lived,
named "Fabbo." Fabbo seemed to be an ordinary sunflower in a day
when most flowers were doing the disco flower. But those other flowers
could only dance to one beat.
All the while Fabbo was boppin' its gender-neutral
roots to other beats, tapping into a new source of nourishment,
digging alternative rhythms and great wonders from the far reaches
of the planet. Fabbo paid its dues, spending a spell earning its
keep as an intinerant street mime with stops from Clarksdale over
to Tupelo, Mississippi,
One day Fabbo was struck with gamma rays in an
early Nineties meteor storm. Our favorite flower has cast off an
ultra-polliniferous glow ever since. This same glow's side effects
caused Fabbo to collect many records, cd's and tapes, and listen
to them carefully so Fabbo tell the story explaining 'the beauty
of the light of music'. The flower figured the best way might be
to spread the word, by giving away part of itself, the seeds, and
hope for a miracle rogaine-type cure later to deal with the issue
of seed replacement.
And thus, Fabbo began the good deeds offering
a seed to a little boy, who later went on to write award-winning
operettas. Fabbo then shared another seed with an elderly lady,
who broke out into the song of her youth. With such successes, Fabbo
busted into a frenzy of seed-sharing and finally whirled into the
dirt dancing and hucking them all over the place. Fabbo's exuberant,
out-of-flower experience lasted until there were no more seeds.
Fabbo settled back into its roots and decided
to write the memoirs of the magic journey to There. Stay
